Magnolia seeks to strengthen its playoff bid when it faces the struggling Terrafirma in the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City on Saturday, March 4.

The Hotshots (5-4), who are already through the quarterfinals, battle the Dyip (2-7) in the 6:45 p.m. affair as they look to climb to the top four from seventh place in the standings for a twice-to-beat advantage.

Meanwhile, the Dyip are looking to stage a surprise and snap their five-game slide against the Hotshots as another loss would cut them out of the playoff picture.

In the earlier play, Rain or Shine and Northport will be at each other’s throats when they meet at 4:30 p.m. as the winner will remain in contention for a playoff bid, while the other gets the short end of the stick.

The Elasto Painters (2-7) couldn’t complete their late comeback against the Phoenix Fuel Masters last March 1 and suffered another blow to their playoff hopes.

The Batang Pier (2-7) suffered the same fate at the hands of the Hotshots last March 2, sending them further down in the standings.
