Tingog Party-list free concert series nears its end


Tingog Party-list successfully held the penultimate leg of its free thanksgiving concert series over the weekend, drawing a crowd of thousands at the Amoranto Sports Complex in Quezon City.

Dubbed “Tingog ng Pasasalamat”, the event held Saturday, Feb. 25 was the third leg of the series of concerts Tingog Party-list has been staging as a gesture of its gratitude for the support it received in the May 2022 elections.

The party won two seats in the House of Representatives during last year's polls.

Like in the other concerts, the Amoranto event was headlined by master rapper Andrew E, and Pinoy rock icon Bamboo, the latter being a guest artist.

The concert proper also showcased the performances of the ILT (I Love Tacloban) and Plethora bands, as well as singer-actress Karla Estrada. Entertaining the crowd during the pre-show were social media sensation and singer DJ Loonyo, beauty queen and singer-actress Ali Forbes, and Joe Joe & Joe.

“It’s our way of saying thanks to all the people who trusted and supported us and that we are doing our best to serve them,” said House Deputy Majority Leader and Tingog Party-list Rep. Jude Acidre, referring to the concert series.

The other Tingog nominee in the House is Committee on Accounts Chairperson Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez. Rep. Romualdez is the wife of House Speaker and Leyte 1st district Rep. Martin Romualdez.

The fouth and final leg of Tingog’s free thanksgiving concerts is slated on March 4, in Tacloban City.
