OneRepublic, an American pop-rock band, paid homage to the musical prowess of its Filipino followers last Thursday, Feb 23, during their comeback performance at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

An opening performance was made by a Canadian singer Jessia, singing her original songs, "I'm Not Pretty," "One of the Boys," and "Nobody Hates You."

After a few minutes, the lights went dim as OneRepublic's frontman Ryan Tedder opened the performance with "Secrets" and "Good Life."

"We absolutely loved coming here to the Philippines; I think we've been coming here since 2009. And this building has a lot of history, obviously, so it's a sacred place," Ryan mentioned after their first set.

Tedder got off the stage to get up close with the fans while performing one of their songs.

They also went with other fan-favorite songs, "Stop and Stare," "Rescue Me," and "Whenever I Go." Tedder also did a medley of songs he wrote for or co-wrote with some of today's most prominent musicians, starting with Beyonce's "love letter" to Jay-Z "Halo."

They followed this up with "Rumor Has It," which Tedder co-wrote with Adele, and "Sucker," which he wrote for The Jonas Brothers.

The band ended the night with "Apologize," "Counting Stars" and "Lose Myself."
