Ivy Lacsina came through when it mattered the most for F2 Logistics after struggling for much of their tight victory against Creamline last Feb. 18.

The middle blocker, who suited up for the Cargo Movers last conference, couldn’t have picked up the best time to make her impact in their 23-25, 25-18, 16-25, 25-23, 16-14 win over the Cool Smashers but through the game-ending service ace she delivered.

Down by two in the final set, 12-14, F2 Logistics went on a determined 4-0 run highlighted by Kianna Dy’s single block on Tots Carlos which was then capped by Lacsina from the service area, taking all the composure she could have mustered in that crucial moment.

“Sinabi ko sa kanya na, ipasok mo lang ‘yong service mo. Tapos ang dumedepensa sa harap ako, si Kianna saka si Ara . Ivy sa pinaka importante na moment mag-ace ka. Tapos na deliver naman,” said F2 Logistics captain Aby Maraño.

Likewise, head tactician, Regine Diego was proud to see Lacsina’s growth with the team and how she pulled herself through in that exact moment when everyone was counting on her.

“She’s maturing, so obviously ever since naman kasi hindi siya iyong type of player na talagang pang-ace. Pero she’s maturing, she’s growing up into a lady na kaya nya nang dalhin iyong sarili niya, kaya niya na ring magdala ng team,” said Diego.

Lacsina was held to a single-digit production with seven points but that exact ace may have absolved her limited showing.

In time, Diego is hoping for Lacsina to step up further in their next games and become one of the keys to the team's championship appearance.

“So eventually, in the future, hopefully makapagdala rin siya ng sarili niyang team and dalhin niya iyong mga teammates niya sa championship,” Diego concluded.
