Three months after we launched the opening of our gallery, FUK.gallery.art.soul, we got to experience more exposure to art (kahit medyo matagal na kaming art enthusiasts ha! feeling may kultura!) We were able to participate in several exhibits and meet talented artists. (na tuloy tuloy namin kakaririn ha!)
“We see a better and brighter future for the art industry. If noon limited lang yung nakakalaam at nakakaappreciate, ngayon mas nadadagdagan na. Dumarami na yung mga art fairs at exhibits. May mga events na nilalagayan nila ng art. Sana talaga ma-achieve natin yung konsepto na art is for everybody at maging kasing aggressive din tayo tulad ng ibang bansang pinapahalagahan yung larangang ito," Miranda Mendoza, FUk Art Associate says. (dapat maging kasing aggressive ng Vivamax!)
A number of artists has expressed interest in having their solo exhibits at FUk. This is something we are looking forward to do but we still need time and timing (and divine intervention na rin!)
“We get proposals from artists. We appreciate the interest in FUk. But if we start on these solo exhibits, we want each exhibit to be really special. Meron na nga rin kaming naka-line up na exhibit na ang artists ay mga taga showbiz. We are preparing for such big events. We are just starting and we still have limited space. FUk is also the digital show WTFu’s studio. So, we really need to plan well," Miranda shares. (unless gusto nila may kasamang boys exhibits nila!)
While we are preparing ourselves in putting up big events, we thought of organizing an online group exhibit which we called : “All the Love in the Universe.” It features masterpieces of 12 amazing visual artists in the country like Valerie Teng, Andrei Solmirano, SciFi Wasabi, Leobel Tanongan, Reggie Lim, Bong Anore, Calvin Vargas, Janelle Marahay, Genzel San Jose, Noelle Venzon at Jake Cata. Each painting showcases the interpretation of love. (ay may entry rin pala ako dyan ha!)
“We love the artworks of these 12 people. Actually marami pa kaming gusto. Sa dami ng talented artists na meron tayo. Nauna lang sila para sa project na ito na incidentally para sa pagcecelebrate ng love month at ng national arts month. Magkakaiba sila ng style and interpretation sa theme natin about love in the universe. We really thank them for their support," Miranda explains. (sana give sila free artworks satin. Chos!)
