F2 Logistics survived PLDT’s comeback, 25-22, 25-21, 14-25, 19-25, 16-14, to hold on to its first win of the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday night, Feb. 7, at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

The Cargo Movers had to regain their composure in the final set under the watch of newly-appointed coach Regine Diego.

It didn't take long for former Petro Gazz spiker Myla Pablo to make her instant impact for the Cargo Movers after finishing with 21 points off 20 attacks and one block to bring F2 Logistics to its first win of the season.

Kianna Dy, who shone for the team with her own 17-point outing, delivered the clincher that settled the tight affair.

Meanwhile, Aby Maraño had 11 points including the final block on Mika Reyes that put the Cargo Movers to match point.

Just as the Cargo Movers were looking primed to come away with a straight-set victory, the High Speed Hitters got over their scrappy start and eased into the ensuing sets to force the decider.

Tied at 14-all in the final set after Jovielyn Prado’s costly net violation, the Cargo Movers eventually untangled themselves from the ninth deadlock courtesy of Maraño’s block on Mika Reyes followed by Dy’s conclusive off-the-block hit from the back row.

Prado paced PLDT with 17 points as it absorbed its first loss of the season. Dell Palomata and Reyes logged 16 and 15 markers in the losing effort, respectively.
