QCPD nabs 5 wanted persons, 23 gamblers in latest anti-criminality ops


A total of 28 individuals were arrested in Quezon City Police District’s (QCPD) latest anti-criminality operations.

Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) chief Police Lt. Col. Robert Amoranto identified one of the suspects as Jerry Balajadia, 34, listed as No. 10 most wanted person, a resident of Brgy. Pasong Tamo, Quezon City.

Balajadia has a pending warrant of arrest for carnapping and has a previous case for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunitions.

Police also apprehended John Michael Manuel, 27, for theft; Christian Olat, 27, for sexual assault; Suzette Espinosa, 36, for 10 counts of Batas Pambansa Blg 22; and Jeffrey Medes, 43, for violation of the SSS Law.

Meanwhile, 23 individuals were also nabbed in QCPD’s campaign against illegal gambling.

Several gambling paraphernalia were confiscated from the suspects.

The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of P.D. 1602 or the Anti-Illegal Gambling Law.

QCPD director Police Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III lauded on Sunday, Feb. 5, the police officers for their efforts and dedication in finding and tracking the wanted persons and those who are engaging in illegal activities.
