LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police arrested a 37-year-old vegetable packer and seized suspected shabu worth almost P48,000 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Balili here on Wednesday night, Feb. 1.
Col. Damian Olsim, Benguet police chief, identified the suspect as Rolando Caranto.
Caranto, a resident of this town, was arrested after he sold one plastic sachet of suspected shabu worth P3,400 to a police poseur-buyer.
Suspect yielded six more plastic sachets of suspected shabu valued at P44,200.
Caranto was listed as a high-value individual and faces drug-related charges.
He and the illegal drugs are under the custody of the La Trinidad MPS for documentation and proper disposition.
