LOOK: Technical orientation for gov't social services held in House

The office of House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez held on Thursday, Feb. 2 a technical orientation on how to avail of social services offered by different government agencies.

TESDA Deputy Director General Aniceto Bertiz III delivers his presentation during the technical orientation.

Deputy Secretary General Sofonias "Ponyong" Gabonada Jr. led the orientation, which was attended by the chiefs-of-staff and and technical staff of the lawmakers in the House of Representatives.

The orientation was organized to help constituents of House members avail of the benefits of programs and services provided by various government agencies such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Health (DOH), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

It is expected that the chiefs-of-staff--with their newly-acquired knowledge--would help the solons organize information dissemination drives that would teach their constituents how to avail of the social services.

The House currently has 311 congressman-members.
