2 drug peddlers nabbed in Negros yield P177,000 shabu


BACOLOD CITY – Two drug pushers were arrested and 26 grams of suspected shabu worth P176,800 were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 2, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Sunday, Jan. 29.

Police identified the suspects as Oscar Siroy Jr., 30; and Mariel Paslon, 24, residents of Barangay 6, San Carlos City.

Capt. Ruby Aurita, spokesperson of the San Carlos City Police Station, said Paslon was arrested for a drug offense in 2020 while Siroy was apprehended the following year.

Aurita said the suspects allegedly joined hands in the illegal drugs trade after they were released from jail through plea bargaining.

Suspects are street-level individuals, according to the police.
