More than P420K worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Malabon City


The Malabon City Police Station (MCS) confiscated P427,380 worth of alleged shabu and collared two men and a woman in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tonsuya in the city on Sunday evening, Jan. 29.

Col. Amante Daro, MCPS chief, identified the suspects as Roselyn Alegado, 39; Eduardo Elizalde, 41; and Julius Bautista, 29, all residents of Barangay Tonsuya.

Operatives from the MCPS Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) launched the buy-bust operation against the suspects on P. Aquino Avenue beside Our Lady of Lourdes Eternal Park Cemetery in Barangay Tonsuya at around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday.

Seized from the suspects were four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing “shabu,” a .45-caliber 1911 Colt pistol, and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
