Bulacan cops seize P14.5-M illegal drugs, arrest 208 persons in anti-crime ops


Bulacan police seized an estimated P14.5 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 208 suspected lawbreakers during the week-long anti-criminality operations in the province from January 23 to 29.

According to a report submitted to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, 86 people were arrested in a series of anti-drug busts conducted by Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEUs) of the Bulacan Police.

Seized were 288 sachets of suspected shabu, 31 sachets of dried marijuana leaves with a total value of P14,501,737.04, assorted drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, 102 wanted persons were nabbed during the implementation of the warrants of arrest by law enforcers in the province.

Police also said 20 gamblers were arrested in separate anti-illegal gambling operations. They were caught in the act of engaging in illegal cockfighting, playing card games and "cara y cruz."

Confiscated from the suspects were assorted gambling paraphernalia and bet money in different denominations.
