
ZAMBOANGA CITY – Five public utility vehicle drivers tested positive for illegal drugs in a random drug test conducted by the Land Transportation Office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency here on Friday, Jan. 27.
The five drivers were among the 95 who underwent the surprise drug test in a mall here.
Their licenses were immediately seized. They will not be allowed to travel pending compliance with requirements on intervention and reformation by the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council.
Several PUV drivers also tested positive for banned substances in past surprise random drug tests by the LTO and the PDEA.
