Man carrying unlicensed gun, P300,000 worth of shabu nabbed at Bataan checkpoint


CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A motorist who was carrying an unlicensed firearm and illegal drugs was arrested at a police checkpoint in Samal, Bataan on Friday night, Jan. 27.

Brigadier General Cesar Pasiwen, director of Police Regional Office Region 3, said the rider, identified as Audie Maradial, 40, of Brgy. Tugatog, Orani, Bataan, was flagged down by police personnel at a checkpoint for a routine inspection of motorcycles.

While he was opening his motorcycle compartment to get his documents, authorities saw his chrome colt caliber .45 in plain view.

Not only that. The police also found a large size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing about 50 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P300,000.

The rider failed to present documents for his firearm.
