Peugeot PH records 285% growth in 2022

New dealerships and new model in 2023

If you are seeing more Peugeots running around the metro, credit its new distributor Astara Philippines for significantly increasing its market share despite having only four nameplates locally, the 2008 SUV, the 3008 SUV, the 5008 SUV, and the Traveller Premium.

Peugeot PH recorded a 285 percent rise in sales since the brand’s relaunch in January 2022 and closed last year with 13 operation showrooms and service centers across the country. Six are in Metro Manila – Alabang, Balintawak, Makati, Manila Bay, Pasig, Quezon City; four in Luzon – Bulacan, Pampanga, Santa Rosa, Batangas; two in Visayas – Cebu, and Bacolod; and one in Mindanao – Davao. Five more dealerships will open before the end of 2023, that includes one in Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro.

“It’s been a remarkable year for us, from beginning to end, and we’re extremely proud of how the allure of the Peugeot brand and our vehicles connect with so many Filipino customers. We’re grateful for the positive response of the market, for the investment and commitment of our dealers, and for the support of our friends in the media who helped share our story in 2022,” said Maricar Parco, brand head of Peugeot Philippines.

To improve its aftersales service, Peugeot PH is ensuring spare parts availability (and at more reasonable prices) by tapping Eurorepar Car Service as its supplier for maintenance parts starting the first quarter of this year.

Peugeot PH also starts an Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERA) program in partnership with Ibero Asistencia. It will cover various services, including vehicle recovery, towing, fuel delivery, flat tire replacement, locksmith service, and battery boosting. All brand-new Peugeots bought in the first quarter of 2023 will have one year of free ERA.

To make it easy for customers to get their new Peugeots, the brand is also kicking off an Easy-Own program using various financing options with low-interest rates and expanding its lineup of bank partners.

Finally, new Peugeot owners automatically qualify for the Le Mans 24-Hour Race Weekend Raffle promo. In June, two winners (including their plus ones) will fly to France to see the Peugeot 9X8 Hypercar compete in the renowned endurance race.

“We’re ramping up our efforts to grow our network aggressively in 2023, and key to that is identifying new dealer partners who share our vision of building the Peugeot brand further in the Philippines. Everything we do, every experience we offer, epitomizes the power of allure. It is what draws our customers to buy our vehicles, and it is what will keep them coming back as customers for life,” added Parco.
