Former president Rodrigo Duterte has been declared as an "adopted son" of Pampanga.
This took place Thursday, Jan. 26 during the "Handog pasasalamat ng mga Kapampangan kay Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte" event at Royce Hotel in Clark, Pampanga.
Gracing the event and welcoming Duterte to the province was House Senior Deputy Speaker and former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Photos of the event was shared on Arroyo's Facebook page.
The Facebook post said that Arroyo expressed her gratitude to Davao City native Duterte for major projects implemented during the latter's term that would have a long-term economic impact on the province.
Arroyo is congresswoman of Pampanga's 2nd district.
