Acer 3D ultra mode: you have to see it, to believe it.

Early this month, I attended the CES in Las Vegas, an annual consumer electronics show where the best and the latest in technology are presented to the public. Dubbed the most influential tech event in the world, this is where the world's biggest brands launch their latest products, do business and meet new partners. This is also where the sharpest innovators and the most promising tech start-ups hit the stage.

One of the most astonishing technologies developed by many tech brands shown at this year's CES is glassless 3D. Still considered by many as an emerging technology, glassless 3D is being used in gaming to provide a more immersive experience for players. It uses a combination of head-tracking, stereoscopic 3D, and advanced computer graphics to create a 3D environment that can be seen without the need for 3D glasses. This allows the player to experience a fully immersive 3D gaming environment without wearing additional equipment.

With Tiffany Huang, Co-Chief Operating Officer at Acer, proudly showed me the amazingly gorgeous Acer Predator Helios 300 with SpatialLabs TrueGame 3D Ultra mode.

I have seen a lot of this kind of technology introduced by many brands at the CES, but only one got my attention. The one developed by Acer. While it has been there for quite some time. Acer announced at the CES a significant update to its SpatialLabs TrueGame, the glasses-free 3D gaming application, with the addition of a 3D Ultra mode.

For now, the focus of the update is gaming. SpatialLabs TrueGame was designed for gamers who love to explore and lose themselves in immersive gameplay. It serves as a medium to explore and experience new realities when they set off on their quests for treasure and glory.

The new update also includes 3D Sense, a collection of 3D stereo effect configurations to match the players' preferences in terms of visual details, effects, and 3D depth intensity. TrueGame allows players to see the game in a way tailored to their preferences and continues to support game titles with new profiles added every month, including today's list of AAA titles and former top classics that users can enjoy in full 3D.

Tiffany Huang, the Co-Chief Operating Officer at Acer, proudly showed me the amazingly gorgeous Acer Predator Helios 300 with SpatialLabs TrueGame 3D Ultra mode. When asked about the future of Acer's 3D glassless technology, she replied: "the possibilities for this technology are endless. We can now do many things that are deemed impossible a few years back. Also, the application is not limited to gaming; other industries like architecture and medicine can also enjoy the benefits of this technology."

"Engineers and architects can now examine their projects in real-time and 360 degrees as the content literally floats in front of the screen," says Princess Lao-Santos, Senior Marketing Manager at Acer Philippines. "This will also have a lot of promise in the medical industry. Acer now has a subsidiary called Acer medical, and the Company produces smart medical innovation and application solutions", she added.

I'm not too fond of 3D gaming because I need to wear glasses and other equipment to enjoy it fully. The SpatialLabs TrueGame 3D Ultra mode provides me with a fresh experience of stereoscopic 3D performance, letting me dive deep into a new realm of 3D entertainment. When I was asked to try it, my jaw dropped when I saw the weapon float in front of me even when I moved sideways, as TrueGame 3D Ultra mode now has a wide viewing angle for players to appreciate the 3D content fully.

I agree with Steven Chung, Senior Manager for Corporate Communications at Acer. He told me while I was enjoying the game that readers would need more information on what will I write about this significant update from Acer to its SpatialLabs TrueGame offering. He said: "They need to see it to believe it and then enjoy going deep into 3D gaming."

The 3D Ultra mode in SpatialLabs TrueGame will go live with a software update at the end of January 2023. It also supports the Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition gaming laptop and the Acer SpatialLabs View display.

Here's what Acer Philippines Sales and Marketing Director Sue Ong-Lim said about the tech giant's latest offerings: "Acer's new products reiterate the Company's commitment to sustainability and innovation. We are very excited for the SpatialLabs TrueGame update to launch in the Philippines because it is a real game-changer demonstrating the amount of time and creativity that Acer devotes to making products and improving existing ones for its consumers. But this update is not just for gamers and game developers. It can also be used in the fields of medicine, architecture and design because of the 3D depth intensity, which can be adjusted depending on the person's eyesight. The update will be available soon, and you can check that out at any Acer Concept Store and authorized dealer."
