Filipinos have the best reactions to ‘Darna’ series’ poster


Looks like it’s finally happening

Darna never fails to capture Filipinos’ attention. And with the coming of ABS-CBN’s “Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series,” everyone is just clamoring over every social media release of the show. The latest is its poster shared online on July 6, a day ahead of the unveiling of its first full trailer.

Designed by Justin Beasna, the poster presents a ruined setup with collapsed buildings forming the winged symbol of the Filipino superhero. In the middle of it is Darna soaring up to the sky. Other elements seen in the image are the snake, an ode to her nemesis Valentina, and the iconic jeepney.

“Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series” is led by acclaimed Filipino filmmaker Chito S. Roño with director Avel Sunpongco. It features a stellar cast composed of Iza Calzado as the first Darna and Narda’s mother, Joshua Garcia as policeman Brian, Zaijian Jaranilla as Ding, Janella Salvador as Valentina, and Jane de Leon as Narda and Darna.

Just the fans, we too can’t wait to see Jane in her Darna costume.
