K-pop group NCT Dream’s Haechan gets Covid-19 on his b-day; Jaemin positive too


Two more members of K-pop group NCT Dream have tested positive for Covid-19.

It was announced on NCT’s fan community app that NCT Dream members Haechan and Jaemin have been confirmed to have Covid-19 on June 6.

Haechan tested positive as he marked his 22nd birthday today.

“Haechan and Jaemin have completed their third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. Currently, their symptoms are mild, and all schedules have been suspended and they are self-isolating according to the guidelines of quarantine authorities,” according to the notice.

It added, “Except for Haechan, Jaemin, Jeno, Chenle, and Jisung, who was confirmed in April, Mark and Renjun all tested negative in today's rapid antigen test, and there are currently no special symptoms.”

“We will comply with quarantine guidelines and do our best to focus on recovery by considering the health and safety of artists as top priority,” it said.

Last June 2, NCT Dream members Jeno and Chenle tested positive for Covid-19. NCT Dream’s Jisung was confirmed to have Covid-19 on April 29.

On June 1, NCT 127 member Jungwoo tested positive for Covid-19 after returning to South Korea from Japan where the group held a concert. NCT 127’s Taeil tested positive for Covid-19 on May 18.

NCT Dream performed at the “Begin Again: K-pop Edition” concert in Manila on May 29 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
