Incumbent representative of Cebu's 5th district gets INC endorsement

CEBU CITY -- The influential Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) has once again endorsed the reelection bid of Cebu Fifth District Congressman Vincent Franco “Duke” Frasco.

The INC has consistently endorsed the candidacy of Frasco.

According to Frasco, it will be the sixth election that the INC endorsed him since 2007 when he first ran for mayor of Liloan, Cebu.

Frasco thanked the INC under the leadership of Ka Eduardo Manalo for the consistent support.

“I am truly grateful that Iglesia’s consistent endorsement over the years affirms the efforts we have made towards ensuring progress for our District and a better life for our people,” said Frasco.

Frasco is facing former Cebu Fifth District Rep. Red Durano, whom he also defeated during the 2019 elections.

The INC has endorsed the reelection bid of Frasco’s wife, Liloan Mayor Christina Frasco, and her running mate, Councilor Aljew Frasco.

Mayor Frasco said all her eight councilors under One Cebu Party were also endorsed by the INC.

“I am deeply grateful to the leadership and members of Iglesia ni Cristo for their consistent endorsement and support since I first ran for Mayor in 2016,” Mayor Frasco said.

“As I run for my third and last term as Mayor of the Municipality of Liloan, I can honestly say that I have given this nothing less than my everything, even and especially in the most difficult times. With your support, I will continue to give my all for the love of Liloan and all Liloanons!” she added.
