In a statement released May 2, GSIS said that there are already 3,003 accredited Bayad outlets for loan payments in advance; that is underpaid, delayed, unpaid; or in default or unpaid for more than six months.

“Maraming salamat sa suporta ng aming miyembro at pensiyonado. We have so far collected P113.33 million for 17,720 transactions with Bayad. Ito ay patunay na maginhawa, mabilis at ligtas ang transactions sa Bayad (Thank you so much for the support of our members and pensioners. We have so far collected P113.33 million for 17,720 transactions with Bayad. This is proof that it’s convenient, fast, and safe to transact with Bayad),” GSIS President and General Manager Rolando Ledesma Macasaet said.

Members who wish to settle payments only need to present their SMS notification from GSIS or loan balances posted in their GSIS Member Online (eGSISMO) or the GSIS Touch mobile application and fill out a Bayad form with all the details required.

After the transaction, they will receive a text confirmation receipt and can also check their records via eGSISMO or GSIS Touch.

GSIS’s collections comprise P36.06 million for 5,144 consoloan accounts; P26.26 million for 2,018 GSIS Financial Assistance Loan accounts; P16.05 million for 2,396 Multipurpose Loan accounts; and P12.95 million for 3,395 emergency loan accounts.

It also accepts payments through Union Bank of the Philippines and Land Bank of the Philippines mobile banking apps.

Starting May, Macasaet said that GSIS will be adding around 10,000 over-the-counter payment outlets and online payment channels from different external payment service providers.

“Tatanggapin na rin ang monthly rentals payments sa mga nag-avail ng Lease with Option to Buy at loan payments mula sa mga inactive members. Patuloy po naming ilalapit ang aming serbisyo sa inyo (We’re also going to accept the monthly rental payments from those who availed the Lease with Option to Buy and loan payments from inactive members. We’re continually bringing our service closer to all of you),” he added. (Luisa Cabato)
