The Taguig City government has imposed restrictions on unvaccinated individuals and curfew for minors under Alert Level 2.

Metro Manila, including Taguig, is under Alert Level 2 from Feb. 1 to 15 as decided by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

The Taguig Safe City Task Force issued Advisory No. 66 on Feb. 1, enumerating the rules and guidelines that will be imposed in the city under Alert Level 2.

“According to the guidelines of the IATF, Alert Level 2 is declared for areas where case transmission is low and decreasing, healthcare utilization is low, or case counts are low but increasing, or case counts are low and decreasing but total bed utilization rate and intensive care unit utilization rate is increasing,” according to the advisory.

Under Alert Level 2, the Taguig City government has imposed a curfew for minors below 18 years old from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The city task force stated that “All unvaccinated individuals, including those above sixty-five (65) years old, pregnant women, and those with comorbidities and immunodeficiencies must stay at home except for accessing essentials, reporting to work and outdoor exercise.”

Minors who will go out of their residence for any reason must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated parent or adult guardian at all times.

The task force said all private and government establishments and PUV terminals “must provide assistance to all unvaccinated individuals residing or working in Taguig.”

If unvaccinated persons are willing to be vaccinated, they will be referred to a nearest community vaccination hub or at a TRACE kiosk at the barangay hall.

“If they cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons, refer them to their barangay health center or the city health office physician to acquire a medical certificate free of charge,” it said.

People who want to get tested for COVID-19 must be guided in registering and booking online via https://trace.taguigov.ph, or they will be referred to the nearest TRACE Kiosk located at their barangay hall.

All private and government establishments and PUV terminals are required to maintain a manual or digital logbook of unvaccinated individuals residing or working in Taguig. The logbook must contain the name, complete residential address (if residing in Taguig), complete office address (if working in Taguig), mobile number; and home or office number if available. A copy of the logbook must be submitted daily to the Safe City Task Force.

Fully vaccinated individuals must present a proof such as vaccination card or vaccination certificate, and a valid government-issued ID with picture and address.

In transportation, the task force said the “no face mask, no ride” policy will be implemented “in all modes of public transportation or employee shuttle service. Passengers and drivers who willfully disregard this policy must be refused entry or prohibited from operating any public utility vehicle (PUV).”

Persons that will be allowed to ride any public utility vehicle when procuring essential needs, going to work in permitted industries or offices, or medical emergencies are any person below 18 or 65 years old; those with immunodeficiency, comorbidities, or other health risks; and pregnant women.

Tricycle drivers and operators in Taguig are allowed to have a maximum of two passengers per travel with one in the sidecar and another as a back rider. For back-to-back type tricycles, they are allowed to have a maximum of three passengers.

Traditional jeepneys, buses, and UV Express are allowed to operate at a 70 percent vehicle capacity excluding driver and conductor.
