Anti-narcotics operatives arrested on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 1 a seaman who yielded some P374,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the suspect as 54-year old Ryan Ramos, considered a high-value target (HVT) for allegedly being the supplier of illegal drugs in Koronadal City.
Also going by the alias “Rayray Tambok’’, the suspect was collared after more than four months of surveillance where ’’runners (delivery personnel)’’ were used in his illegal drug deals.
The raiding team confiscated four sachets of shabu weighing more or less 55 grams, buy-bust money, motorcycle and cellular phone in the 4:50 p.m. operation.
Ramos is detained at the Koronadal City Police Station and is facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
The operation was carried out by the PDEA South Cotabato Provincial Office, South Cotabato Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Koronadal Community Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU). (Chito A. Chavez)
