Abarquez tapped to head int'l entertainment and events group

Global leader Amelia “Amytony” Sunio Abarquez has been appointed chairperson of the newly formed corporation dubbed Global Entertainment and Events Management Inc. (GEEMI) as she announced the annual events for the group.

Abarquez is an advocate of beauty, public service, humanitarian and charity works. An international leader, her experience spans over a decade of corporate and administrative capacities. She is married to Antonio B. Abarquez, president, Amytony Homes, Inc. USA.

"GEEMI will focus on activities related to entertainment and excellence activities on national and global scale," she said.

Abarquez Is also the present chairman of Miss Tourism Philippines promoting beauty through arts and culture.

Winners in the Miss Tourism Philippines pageant made the country proud in competitions abroad. Miss Tourism Philippines-Universe won 3rd runner-up at the Miss Asia pageant held in Beirut, Lebanon last September. Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide-Philippines was 1st runner-up during the grand coronation held in Malaysia recently.

Abarquez founded and chaired the Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide to foster harmony in diversity. The just concluded pageant was held Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where Miss Vietnam bagged the title as Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide 2022. Other winners were Philippines, 1st runner-up; Chile, 2nd runner-up; Netherlands, 3rd runner-up and Thailand, 4th runner-up.

A constant advocate of beauty, public service, humanitarian and charity is a beauty in herself, Abarquez has years of service in the public and private realms that brings to hone experience and leadership par excellence.

“Amytony” as she is fondly called, is also a leader with a global mindset and Filipino heart. Her experience spans over three decades of corporate as well as administrative capacities.

As a business leader she is a licensed nurse operating several board and care homes that serves people with developmental disabilities through Amytony Homes Inc., Charis Chateau Inc. and Abarquez Home Inc. based in the U.S.A for more than 23 years.

Publicly she served as municipal councilor in the local government unit of Cabugao, Ilocos Sur.

Recognized for her sterling humanitarian service. A recipient of several awards and recognitions for her contribution to humanity and for her entrepreneurial and public service significance.

She finished her Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management from Centro Escolar University and her Master in Educational Management from the University of Northern Philippines. She likewise took her Vocational Nursing Program at ROP, Anaheim, California U.S.A.
