A total of P274,000 worth of shabu and a gun were seized from three drug suspects who were arrested in a buy-bust operation by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) in Brgy. Salvacion, Quezon City on Monday, Dec. 19.

The suspects were identified as Ricardo Ramos Jr, 31; Enrico Solis, 31, both residents of Sta. Cruz, Manila; and Pinky Gumaga, 24, a resident of Brgy. 223, Tondo, Manila City.

According to the police, the officers of QCPD La Loma Police Station (PS 1) were manning a checkpoint along NS Amoranto St., Brgy. Salvacion, Quezon City, at about 3:20 a.m. on Monday.

PS1 officers flagged down a tricycle after they noticed that it has no headlight.

Instead of pulling over, the driver and his passengers ignored the police officers and sped off.

Police said they managed to corner the suspects after a brief chase.

The suspects were immediately frisked by the police. They yielded 40 grams of suspected shabu valued at P272, 000, a caliber .38 revolver without a serial number, three pieces of ammunition, cash amounting to P5,300, a cellular phone, and the tricycle.

All the suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022, and Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
