Marcos took to his Facebook to pat his fellow solons on the back following what has been a very busy but fulfilling past few weeks for the legislators.

"And just like that Congress has gone back into recess! Thankful for the leadership of Martin Romualdez and for my colleagues in the house. Proud to be part of this productive institution!" he wrote on Thursday night, Dec. 15.

The presidential son tagged House Speaker Romualdez, who happened to be his mentor, in his message.

Thursday was the final session day of 2022. The House members won't convene again until Jan. 23, 2023.

The lower chamber ran through the year and essentially, the first half of the first regular session of the 19th Congress by approving on third and final reading 19 priority bills of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. The 19 bills are part of the Common Legislative Agenda (CLA) of the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC)
