The Senate and House bicameral committee has approved the reconciled version of the proposed P5.268-trillion 2023 national budget, which could pave the way for its ratification by both Chambers later on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022.

After weeks of shunning the public eye, suspended Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Gerald Bantag appeared before the Department of Justice (DOJ) to seek the inhibition of prosecutors handling the murder cases of broadcaster Percy Lapid and alleged middleman Jun Villamor where he is among the accused.
