Over P106K worth illegal drugs seized from 13 suspects in QC


The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Sunday, Dec. 4, announced the arrest of 13 drug suspects and the confiscation of P106,280.00 worth of shabu in a series of buy-bust operations in the city.

Police identified the suspects as Marlon Ursabia alias “Wekwek”, 43, resident of Brgy. Talipapa, Quezon City; Desiree Blancia, 48, of Brgy. Sangandaan, Quezon City; Jun Mar Abao, 40, of Brgy. Tandang Sora, Quezon City; and Roy Tulore Sumingin, 23; Gregorio Cartaño Barcelona, 37; Rodrigo Gutierrez Omlang, 42, all residents of Brgy. South Triangle, Quezon City; and Joseph Bunagan Galanera, 44, of Brgy. 888, Sta Ana, Manila; John Paul Gingnoba Romero, 35, of Barangay Santolan, Pasig City.

Also arrested were Charlie Mangudlay alias "Ipe", 32; and Janree Dela Torre, 32, both residents of Brgy. Pasong Tamo, Quezon City; Jenny Rose IBañez, 23, of Brgy. Unang Sigaw, Quezon City; Eva Vollamor, 46, of Brgy. Talipapa, Quezon City; and Norman Doctor, 54, of Brgy. Project 6, Quezon City.

The suspects will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, meanwhile, assured the public that the QC police force will continue to intensify operations against illegal drugs.
