Pasay Mayor Emi distributes Christmas gifts to 159 children

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano distributed Christmas gifts to 159 selected children as part of the city’s 159th anniversary on Friday, Dec. 2.

Rubiano said the gift packs were distributed to the kids after a giant Christmas tree decorated with pink ornaments was lighted at the center of Pasay City Hall grounds.

She said the city residents enjoyed the celebration of the city’s anniversary highlighted by the parade of lights along EDSA in Pasay.

The mayor said different barangays participated in the street dancing competition, with P50,000 cash prize given to the champion, P40,000 to the first winner, and P30,000 to the second winner.

Rubiano said the participants who lost in the competition were given P15,000 cash each as a consolation prize.

She said the celebration of the 159th Pasay City was very meaningful for the residents since the activities for “Pasayahin sa Pasay” returned after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The mayor said Star City offered a big discount to residents who wanted to have fun in the amusement park.
