Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Jaime Victor Ledda, meanwhile, thanked Switzerland for its continued support to the country.

“As we celebrate 65 years of diplomatic relations, we take note that this is a strong and enduring partnership that we enjoy, and we share this commitment -to democratic values, rule of law, and the need for responsible behavior in the international community,” he said during the event.

Ledda added that the country highly values the role of Switzerland in the Bangsamoro peace processes, particularly in “sharing the transitional justice and reconciliation commission.”

He also recognized Switzerland’s assistance to micro, small and medium enterprises in the country.

“It is clear the Philippines and Switzerland will remain strong partners and advocates in promoting peace, stability, dialogue, and diplomacy,” said Ledda.
