2 members of K-pop boy band WEi injured in car accident


Two members of K-pop boy band WEi were injured in a car accident in South Korea on Nov. 24.

OUI Entertainment announced that WEi members Kim Donghan and Kang Seok-hwa figured in an accident as they were on their way to a schedule.

According to the agency, on Nov. 24, while moving between schedules, the vehicle in which Kim Donghan and Kang Seok-hwa were riding had a collision with a another vehicle. After the accident, they were transferred to a hospital for detailed examination and treatment.

“In the case of Kim Donghan, pain in the knee and back and muscle pain happened due to the accident, and he needs physical therapy and medication,” it said.

It added, “Kang Seok-hwa suffered from pelvic pain and muscle pain due to the accident and needs physical therapy and medication.”

The agency said it was recommended that the two undergo treatment and sufficient rest for possible aftereffects and quick recovery.

As a result, the fan signing events to commemorate WEi’s fifth mini-album “Love Pt. 2: Passion” slated from Nov. 24 to 27 were postponed.

“We ask for the fans' generous understanding of the decision for the artists’ speedy recovery,” the agency said.
