Fire hits command center in Quiapo, Manila


A command center in Quiapo, Manila caught fire on Monday night, Nov. 21.

According to a report from ABS CBN News, the fire broke out on the first floor of the Barangay Hall of Barangay 306, Zone 30, at around 8 p.m. on Monday.

Lloyd Fajardo, a barangay official, said they were monitoring the CCTVs when something suddenly exploded.

The fire was quickly extinguished but several items were consumed, including four CCTV monitors worth P100,000 and computers.

Meanwhile, a tent was set up outside the barangay hall that will serve as a temporary office for the command center to continue its operations, the report added.

No one was killed or injured in the incident.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is still investigating the source of the fire.
