Jin released “The Astronaut” ahead of his enlistment in the military, the first member of BTS to do so.

Recently, Jin hinted that he will be deployed as a soldier near the border of South Korea and North Korea.

"No... I've been told to go to the front line," Jin replied to a fan who asked if was excited about his upcoming birthday on Dec. 4, Yonhap News reported.

Last month, it was announced that all members of BTS will be fulfilling their military service, a mandatory duty for all Korean men.

He will release an 80-page photobook titled “Special 8 Photo-Folio Me, Myself, and Jin ‘Sea of JIN island’” on Jan. 23.

“Based on Jin’s ideas, the Photo-Folio showing new, unusual sides of him consists of three different concepts of diverse emotions felt at the sea. Jin expressed fear of being an alien as the pirate in darkness, and portrayed a dignified captain proud of his small boat under the rising sun together with a brave fisherman whose life is at the sea,” according to a description on the Weverse app.

It added, “80 pages of the photobook contain a unique mood combining Jin’s graceful and clean looks with rough textures of the boat on the sea. It comes with a mini poster, a folded poster, a stamp, a photo card, a random photo card and JIN’s special items – fish cards of tuna and shark. A photo of Jin being a true fisherman, who actually caught a tuna during the shoot, a behind-the-scene of the performance video of ‘Super Tuna’ that started from this photobook and the behind-the-scene in the recording studio are something you shouldn’t miss!”

“Plus, a hint cut at the end of the photobook will excite ARMY’s curiosity on what’s to come next,” it said.
