Explore the goodness of modern Indian cuisine on your next trip to Boracay

Little Taj is the newest addition to Boracay’s foodie trails

While it is known for its crystal clear beach, powdery white sand, and stunning view of the sunset, Boracay is also a foodie’s haven. From beachside bars to street food finds, anyone can enjoy the best of local and international eats on the island. This time, the latest addition to Boracay’s food scene aims to take you on a gastronomic adventure to India.

Little Taj Indian Street Kitchen and its hyderabadi chicken biryani

Established by restaurant duo Patrick and Shria Florencio, Little Taj Indian Street Kitchen started as a little food spot, sharing a space with its sister restaurant Nonie’s at Station X. Soon enough, it became a standalone restaurant, launching its own space in May 2022. The idea of building an Indian restaurant on the island came from Shria wanting to pay homage to her Indian roots. While its sole journey began during our pandemic-new normal milieu, the budding restaurant didn't find it hard to gain support from the people on the island, both tourists and locals.

What sets Little Taj apart is its modern take on Indian cuisine. Its goal is to bring every customer to a spice-filled dining experience as if they are walking the trendy streets of Mumbai or indulging at the Dilli Haat of Delhi. Among its champion dishes are the papdi chaat and its array of biryanis. While its butter chicken, masala dosa, hyderabadi biryani, and palak paneer have become the ultimate go-to orders of their patrons. Little Taj also features specially-curated cocktails made by award-winning bartenders to go with its Indian feast.

“At Little Taj, everyone’s pretty vishesh and is treated like a VIP, whether you’re an island local or a tourist on a beach escape,” the team behind the restaurant said. “ party and palate explosions are always happening at Taj, any time of day.”

Little Taj Indian Steet Kitchen is located at D’Mall in Station2, Boracay (in the alleyway between Aria and Epic) and is open daily from 10 a.m. to  12 midnight. For more information or reservations, visit @littletajboracay on Instagram.
