Active cases began to dip below the hundredth mark on Oct 30 with 98 cases. 118 cases were logged prior on Saturday, Oct. 29.

From there, active cases remained below 100, but still above 50.

On Monday, Oct 31, there were 84 cases. 65 were recorded on Tuesday, Nov. 1; 82 on Wednesday, Nov. 2; 67 on Thursday, Nov. 3; 80 on Friday, Nov. 4; 80 on Saturday, Nov. 5; and 72 on Sunday, Nov. 6.

The decrease is notable as it was observed during the period of “Undas,” wherein droves of people flocked to cemeteries in the city during the whole week.

As per the latest Nov. 6 data, Barangay Pinagbuhatan had the highest number of active cases (15), followed by Barangays Manggahan (11) and Bagong Ilog (6).

Twelve out of 30 barangays in Pasig have zero active Covid cases.

Presently, Pasig City has 89,483 confirmed cases, 87,750 recoveries, and 1,661 deaths.

Last July, Covid-19 cases breached 300, following a gradual increase in cases attributed to the various Omicron variants entering the country during this time.

From the last week of June to October, Covid cases ranged from 121 to 412, peaking on Aug. 12.

The Pasig City local government continues to conduct and promote its regular Covid vaccination rollout.

In adherence to national health policies, the Pasig City Council has approved ordinances adopting the executive orders regarding the voluntary use of face masks in indoor and outdoor settings.

However, the local government still urges the public to exercise caution and follow health protocols especially in crowded areas.

On Saturday, Nov. 5, the Department of Health (DOH)’s Covid-19 Tracker logged 1,229 new cases across the country.
