18 suspects nabbed, over P280K illegal drugs seized in QC stings


At least 18 drug suspects have been arrested in a series of buy-bust operations conducted by different units and police stations in Quezon City, the police announced on Saturday, Nov. 5.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Brig. Gen. Nicolas D Torre III said one of the arrested suspects was identified as Jericho Yang, also known as “Jepoy”, 26, tagged as the No. 1 District Level Drug Priority Target.

Also arrested were John Rey Obrero, 19; Dan Dugong, 22; Jaybie Tinio, 19; John Clouie Jordan Sargento, 38; Maricris dela Cruz Santos, 36; Ricky Lorica Rombaoa, 37; Albert Mejia Payabyab, 44; Jerric Huelgas Corpuz, 38; Marian Tutania, 26; Jomel Mangila Iringan, 25; Janet Diaz Alombro, 40; and Analiza Pagusara Gonzaga, 48.

Police also apprehended Paulo Velasquez, 35; Emmanuel Condeno, 41, Emilio Espila, 32; Eldon Naingue, 37; and Henry Cahutay, 34.

The arrest of the suspects led to the confiscation of P280,080.00 worth of illegal drugs.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Torre, meanwhile, commended the police operatives for their relentless efforts in the campaign against illegal drugs.
