Some may find Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado's daughter Dylan’s name a bit unusual.
Especially for a girl.
Note for her parents.
For them, it makes perfect sense.
So, how did they come up with the name?
In an interview with Nelson Canlas, Dennis admitted many guessed right -- that it was inspired in part by songwriter Bob Dylan.
"Mahilig kami sa music niya,” he enthused.
But there’s more to it.
He explained, "Si Jen, na-amaze siya do'n sa mga lalaking pangalan na ginagamit ng babae. So nag-isip kami ng isa na merong mga letters ng pangalan ko, letters ng pangalan niya...”
'Yon, naging Dylan," he added.
In a previous interview, Dennis related how he dotes on Dylan and so much so.
In fact, he finds time to fulfill daddy duties even if he’s tired with work.
Note that he has been busy with “Maria Clara At Ibarra.”
"Pag-uwi ko sa trabaho, 'pag nakapaglinis na ako, gawin ko na ang trabaho ko bilang daddy," he said.
" Swerte ako 'pag nakatulog siya agad kasi pwede na 'ko magpahinga. Tapos bandang 6 a.m., gigising naman ako kasi kailangan painumin ng gamot."
Despite the exertion, Dennis is not complaining.
Apparently, he wants to make up for it, having missed out on the same with Calix Andreas, his daughter with ex-girlfriend Carlene Aguilar.
