The PCG identified the arrested suspects as Princess Sandra Macapeges alias ā€œPrincess,ā€ and her cohort Sherhana Hatae.

According to PCG, an entrapment operation was set up around 6 p.m. in a mall in Paranaque City after law enforcers received a tip that Macapeges asks money from aspiring Coast Guard trainees in exchange of the assurance that they will get into the uniformed service hassle-free.

The PCG said Macapeges was demanding P15,000 to P115,000 from the trainees.

However, the operation was deemed successful when the operatives nabbed Hatae, who was sent by Macapagas to collect the money from one of her victims.

Macapages was also apprehended in a follow-up operation on the same night, the PCG noted.

The PCG warned applicants to avoid negotiating with fixers if they want to enter the uniformed service, adding that they should work hard and prove themselves to be worthy of earning their spot.
