“Ang bawat isang Batang Maynila na nandidito ay makakatanggap ng limang libo sa ilalim ng programang Educational Assistance program (Each children of Manila who is here will receive five thousand under the Educational Assistance program),” Lacuna said during her speech.

“Ito po ay binibigay natin sa mga piling piling mga magaaral nang sa ganon po ay makatulong kami sa inyong pang araw araw na gastusin lalo na at nalalapit na po ang ating face to face classes (This is what we are giving to selected students so that we can help you with your daily expenses especially since our face to face classes are approaching),” she added.

The recipients of the educational assistance were from Districts 1, 2, 4, 5, and Baseco.

“Alam ko po hindi ito sapat pero kahit papano meron kayong mabubunot, nang sa gayon po ay mabawasan ang iyong mga gastusin (I know it's not enough, but at least you'll get something out of your pockets, and your expenses will be reduced),” Lacuna said.

The mayor also assured that students from other districts will also receive educational assistance.

“Gamitin po natin ito sa wastong paraan, ito po ay pagpapakita at pagpaparamdam namin sa inyo na mahal na mahal po namin ang bawat isang batang Maynilang mag-aaral (Let's use it in the right way, this is our way of showing and making you feel that we love each and every student in Manila),” she said.
