5 nabbed in Baguio drug den raid


BAGUIO CITY – Authorities arrested five suspected drug personalities, including one who was just released last month, and seized illegal drugs valued at P119,000 in a drug den raid here on Wednesday, Oct. 5, in Barangay Cabinet Hill-Teacher’s Camp.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera Director Gil Castro identified the suspects as Mimbla Sabado Domingo, 58, a high-value target; Michael Bryan Sabado Domingo, 36, convicted for violation of Republic Act 9165 and released from jail on Sept. 9; Joana Marie Cortez Mendoza, 32; Kim Herreria Sabado, 31, and Aira Sabado Domingo, 23.

Seized from them were 19 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 15 grams and valued at P102,000; 10 suspected Ecstacy tablets worth P17,000; several transparent plastic sachets with residue of suspected shabu, and assorted drug paraphernalia.

The raid jointly conducted by the PDEA and local police at 4:20 p.m. was authorized by a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Maria Ligaya Itliong-Rivera.

Suspects face cases for violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
