Real-life friends Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are coming back to the movie screen!

Reynolds announced the news through his official Twitter account. In the video, the actor is seen sitting on the couch and discussing his desire to make Deadpool’s first official appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) “feel special”.

While narrating his plans, Jackman walks past the background shot, "Hey, Hugh,” says Reynolds, “Want to play Wolverine one more time?”

“Yeah, sure, Ryan,” Jackman replies.

As the video ends, a clip then cuts to a title card, which reads:

“Coming Hughn”. It’s soon followed by the Deadpool logo, which is promptly scratched out by Wolverine’s iconic claws.

Jackman played the last role of Wolverine in the 2017 film "Logan", which was assumed to be his last movie playing the iconic role.

The upcoming sequel of Deadpool is set to premiere on Sept. 6, 2024. As for now, Hugh Jackman is the only character that is confirmed to be coming back to the film. (Carissa Alcantara)
