Top PH, US security officials to meet in Hawaii for defense cooperation


Philippine security officials led by acting Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Jose Faustino, Jr. will meet with their US counterparts in Hawaii to discuss defense cooperation between the two countries.

The US Indo-Pacific Command will be held in Honolulu on Sept. 29, (US time).

The meeting was based on the invitation of US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III.

"The two officials are expected to discuss operational cooperation in addressing emerging security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region," a statement from the DND read.
