Saudi foreign minister arrives in PH


​Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud has arrived in the Philippines to strengthen the two countries' bilateral relations.

Faisal landed in the country on Wednesday night before meeting with his Filipino counterpart, Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo, and President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

Details of their meeting have yet to be disclosed. But in a Twitter post, Manalo said they discussed "the active engagement" between the Philippines as well as "opportunities to further economic cooperation in support of our development goals."

"Pleased to meet w/ HH (His Excellency) Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud," Manalo said in his post.

Prince Faisal also signed a guest book at the Malacañang Palace, a video posted by RTVM showed.

The Saudi official also conveyed King Salman's and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's greetings to Marcos Jr., Saudi's press agency reported.
