Tomoro is the first Japanese rapper to be No. 1 on the Billboard charts for world digital song sales. This feat was for his song "World Money" released in 2021 where he collaborated with New York hip-hop duo Nice & Smooth.

The next single was an even bigger one as he sang together with Sean Kingston of "Beautiful Girls" fame. It was for a love ballad kind of rap entitled "Let Me Love You" where Tomoro is seen walking on a California beach with a green-haired girl. If the girl looks familiar to Filipino viewers, that's because it's no other than Pinay actress Arci Muñoz.

Tomoro said he came to know Arci because she dined at one of his Yakiniku restaurants in Tokyo. His bio lists him as a self-made millionaire who started his entrepreneurship journey at the age of 18 and then, he decided to become a rapper. He went to the US to hit the big time. It was from his network of music producers that he was introduced to Sean Kingston.

Tomoro revealed that Sean "is a very funny boy, and he is one of my good friends now."

The 35-year-old bachelor, and go-getter, is setting his sights on the Philippines to spread the gospel of rap. This is the reason why his friend, actor Polo Ravales, organized a meet-and-greet event at the Hive Hotel in Quezon City so that Tomoro can be acquainted with the local media and influencers.

Aside from entertainment media, present at the event were Simon Joseph Javier (@simonsaysvlog), who has more than 8 million followers on TikTok; his wife, former Viva Hot Babe Zara Lopez; and the SB NewGen girls who performed a dance number for Tomoro. They also offered to collab with the rapper.

"I love the Filipino people because you have a good heart, and you love music. When I am here, I am very happy, and I have good health from the sun. The weather is different in Japan," Tomoro said.

He added that putting up a company in the Philippines is one of his plans. "I have many friends here. Also, Japan and the Philippines are very near, only four hours flight."
