KardingPH: 129 families in Imus, Cavite spend night in evacuation centers


IMUS CITY, Cavite – The local government unit here evacuated residents from flood-prone areas in the city due to Typhoon Karding.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Sept. 26, Mayor Alex Advincula said 79 families stayed in Tinabunan Elementary School and 24 families were evacuated to Imus Sports Complex.

Malagasang II-C Barangay Hall, meanwhile, hosted 26 families from the riverside areas.

The evacuees were provided with basic disaster supplies kits and hot meals.

In a weather bulletin released at 8:00 a.m., there is no tropical cyclone wind signal in effect in Cavite, but light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are still expected.
