Caritas Manila appeals for donations for 'Karding' victims


Caritas Manila is appealing for donations for those affected by Super Typhoon "Karding."

The social action arm of the Archdiocese of Manila said the donations will be used to "provide relief assistance to our brothers and sisters affected by the recent super typhoon."

Caritas Manila said the donations will be used to provide food packs, water, sanitation and hygiene kit; bedding materials, and shelter repair kit to those affected.

"You may share your blessings through the donation portals or visit https://www.caritasmanila.org.ph/online-cash-donation/," the organization said in a Facebook post.

As of 11 a.m. Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, Astronomical, Services Administration (Pagasa) said the center of the eye of the typhoon was located at 230 kilometers West of Dagupan City, Pangasinan with maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h near the center, and gustiness of up to 160 km/h.
