Work in gov’t, private offices in Quezon suspended

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) has suspended work in government and private offices in Quezon on Monday, Sept. 26, due to super typhoon “Karding” (international name: “Noru”).

However, Memorandum Circular No. DHT-006, Series of 2022 issued by the PDRRMC chaired by Gov. Angelina Tan said work remains in offices tasked to deliver health services, maintenance of peace and order, and disaster preparedness and response.

PDRRMC members and municipal DRRMCs have been directed to heighten monitoring of their respective areas of responsibility and provide a situational report.

Classes on all levels in Quezon, including Lucena and Tayabas cities, are also suspended on Monday based on Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 37, Series 2022.

It states that classes and work in schools are cancelled or suspended during a typhoon, heavy rainfall, flood, earthquake, and power outages/power interruptions/brownouts.
