Karla Estrada appointed consultant on social services for Tingog, Speaker Romualdez


TACLOBAN CITY -- Former Tingog Party nominee Karla Estrada has been appointed as consultant on Social Services and Promotions of the Office of Speaker Martin Romualdez and the party.

Tingog Rep. Yedda Romualdez said that Karla is aiming to continue her love and passion for serving other people's needs by bringing the government's social service programs to the grassroots community.

"To support the Speaker’s social welfare reform initiatives, Karla Estrada is mandated to coordinate with different government and non-government agencies for possible partnership and implementation of various social services programs and to create information drive campaigns for the projects and programs implemented," said Rep. Romualdez.

She added that crisis intervention programs, hospital patient assistance, self-employment assistance, children in need of special protections, aid to persons with disability, and the program for elders, women, and out-of-school youth are some of Karla's focus.

Karla, a native of this city was Tingog's third nominee during the May 9, 2022 elections.

Tingog landed in the third spot among the 55 winning party-list groups.

It secured two congressional seats out of the 62 seats for Rep. Yedda Romualdez and Rep. Jude Acidre.
