The LGU personnel with the rescue team from BFAR facilitated the transfer of the stranded dolphin to the Buguey Brackishwater Technology Outreach Station in barangay Minanga for rehabilitation and recovery.

Dr. Jefferson Soriano, Focal Person on Marine Mammal Stranding and Rescue Operation, and his team administered medical procedures to determine the cause of the stranding.

“The juvenile dolphin is still in its weak state until Friday (September 22, 2022). It needs intensive care and regular medical attention, because it refuses to eat”, said Soriano.
