Yulo’s Japanese coach Munehiro Kugiyama bared the victorious performance that was made more memorable after the Hanoi Southeast Asian Games quintuple gold medalist copped the bronze in vault.

He and the Team Tokushukai finished silver in the team event.

Kugiyama said Yulo skipped the other apparatus after injuring a finger.

From Japan, Yulo will go to Paris, France to undergo a rigid training camp as part of his buildup to the World Championships scheduled Oct. 29 to Nov. 6 in Liverpool, England.

“He has injury in his finger,” said Kugiyama in his social media post.

Yulo will be one of the favorites to strike gold in Liverpool after he snared a mint in vault and the silver in floor exercise in last year’s edition in Kitakyushu, Japan.

He was also a floor exercise gold winner in Stuttgart, Germany three years back.
